Default Interface loading issue

So, when I try to start Vanguard with a mod, it dumps me out of the game before the character select screen. I've tried CoreUI, DroxUI and infomap advanced, putting varying values for their skin names into the VGclient.ini file without difference. When I look at the log file it says

Code:
1346653255 123 2 4311370844 SGOUI Error: Failed to load ChatContainer wnd. Check skin name or reset to default. VGUIWindow name=chat_text not found!!
1346653255 124 2 4311370845 SGOUI Error: Failed to load ChatContainer wnd. Check skin name or reset to default. VGUIWindow name=chat_text not found!!
1346653255 125 2 4311370845 SGOUI Error: Failed to load Settings wnd. Check skin name or reset to default. VGUIWindow name=xml_settings_window not found!!
1346653255 126 4 4311370845 VGUIXmlWinManager construction time = 0.020000 sec
1346653255 127 4 4311370847 Start SGOUI Init End
1346653255 128 2 4311370860 SGOUI Error: Failed to load ServerSelect wnd. Check skin name or reset to default. VGUIWindow name=_server_select not found!!
I used to have infomap advanced installed (and the game worked fine with it), but deleted it shortly after the f2p transition happened (since it hadn't been patched then). Not sure why it worked then and does not now. Anyone have any ideas?

Typically this is caused by how the UI is installed. It usually means an extra folder layer is in there.

The folders should be as follows in the Shell Folder, in this example the VGClient.ini says Shell=DroxUI

Shell
DroxUI
Index.xml and other files and folders.

Your case it is probably like this.

Shell
DroxUI (or some other name)
DroxUI
Index.xml and other files and folders

Nope, the folder layout is normal for the shells.

(Drox is Shells/DroxUI/index and other files and folders, InfomapAdvanced is Shells/InfomapAdvanced/index and other files likewise).

UI's are all updated after the f2p update, from the links here. (Infomap I just downloaded yesterday).

So if you edited the VGClinet.ini correctly, then I would suggest to rename VGClinet.ini, and restart vangaurd from the launcher and edit the file again. Maybe there is an issue with that file.

I figured out what the problem was- I had the files in Vanguard/Skins rather than in Vanguard/VGUIAssets/Shells. Moved them over and everything works fine now.
