One of the things that I loved in EQ and miss desperately in WoW was the "view port". Similar to the "letter box" that is seen in EQ2, but it was possible to have it go all the way around the viewable area, not just across the top and bottom. I love having a full screen of game graphics, but I'd rather shrink (not crop) that viewable area somewhat, so that nothing gets hidden behind UI elements. I'm really hoping that Vanguard will have something like this available.

I liked how we had in eqlive that there were some UIs made for just a single class.
For example a rogue UI would have the rogue epic as the cursor, and thats really the only thing i can remember from that UI. But, try making some UIs that go for each class. |

/afk reply with information you can type into it is very important to me as well. Also use the /reputation mod a lot in WoW, it might come in real handy with diplomacy in Vanguard.

I enjoyed the basic UI of EQ, and people making custom looks for it, so making the UI customizable that way would make me happy.

EQ2 has a decent interface but things could be better.
I remember in UO you could make the actual game resolution lower than the computer resolution so that there was a black border that didnt cut out the game. I like having that area so I could put extra stuff (quickbar, or bags) so that i could have a clear screen so i can see the game without any interfaces covering up the environment. |

I wasen't a massive fan of the EQ2 UI, although I can see why some people like it so much.
I personally liked the way that WoW had so many different UI mods that you could basically mix and match and get the perfect set up for yourself. One thing I did hate about the WoW interface's was that every time they patched it you had to upgrade the UI mod, that really annoyed me. I guess the best UI for me would be a cross between EQ1 and WoW, so you have a bit more customisation and still have some of the basic funtionality of the EQ1 interface which I liked. |

I like the functionality of EQ2's UI, but the clunkiness of how the default UI looks is just too much to bear. I don't like all the fancy gfx in the title bars and such, so I tend to turn things off or make them 100% transparent so I don't have to look at them.
![]() Nice, clean, unobstrusive UI's have always been my favorite. Things that do not take up even 10% of my viewing screen. So if Vanguard could come up with a simple, tight, and "un-busy" UI, I would be pleased. As a default. Then give players the option to customize, of course. ![]() |

Hmm, a very thought provoking question.
For lack of a better way to describe it, EQTypes for everything. I want to be able to move items to whatever window piece I choose. Viewport - I hate cluttering my world view with info and love having the info outside of my worldview An editor with preview - this would save alot of time when moving items inside the window pieces.
