1) Introduction

If you are looking for a nice simple UI that is completely modular, then this is the one. Easy
to see, read, understand and yet small and simple.

This has been an ongoing project since mid-beta, to provide a simple, clean interface for
those that prefer the minimal Interface. Many people have contributed to this project. See "Credits"
below for those that have made this possible.

There are two versions of this UI. One has InfoMap (Darker2.0) and the other does not (Darker).

Moved the "Sort By Chunk" drop down box to a better posission.
Darkened the Targets Target in the Offensive Target Window.
Fixed the Offensive Target Toggle in the Advanced Settings.
Adjusted the IconBlankSlot to fit more inline with the rest of the ui.
Added percentages and self Health Meter

3) What this Custom UI does
  • Removed the dependency for most adjoining windows. More separate windows to move where you want them.
  • Separate Player stats from the Defensive Target for easy layout of your choice.
  • Changes default size of all bags, inventory, banks and more.
  • Changed the default font size for pop up / mouseover windows. (For what the server will allow)
  • Adds in the drop in box for the Market Exchange Broker.
  • Removes the "extras" from the ui such as added graphics in the player stat window, group
  • window and offensive window.
  • Adds in the option for a horizontal group window.
  • Consists of 6 horizontal Hotbars and 2 vertical.
  • Adds in the HUD interface to choose your options you would like to have displayed in game.
  • ie: Combat, Stats, clock and more!
  • Adds in a Healer Helper hotbar for heal and buffs abilities.
    -Double click HealerHelper Member names to view their buffs
  • Smaller and more abilities on each page.
  • Quest window adjusted to fit more quests in visible line.
  • Quest listings include Level and sphere
  • Ability to organize your quests by Level and Sphere.
  • Display of 36 parlay cards per page.
  • Smaller Parlay table
  • Updated XML to current for Vanguard.

Using the EXTRAS Files
There are two versions of the Quest Log and the Guild Social window in this file. In total there are four extra folders inside:
Quest Log Book
Quest Log Default
GuildSocial (with notes)
GuildSocial Default.

To replace the files with the windows you like the best, just copy the file inside the EXTRAS folder and paste (and replace) that xml file in Windows folder. To go back to the default, just go into the default folder and copy that xmp file and paste (and replace) the corresponding xml file in Windows folder.

Hello, just deleted this UI and return to default. Me very like this ui, but... im cannot find window with "Short duration beneficial spell effects", as im playing with shammy and dont see an indicator for Bosrid's Gift buff. Also sometimes in raids im dont see an harmful effects like manadrains or dots on my toon.
Im tried also Darksteel version and last Drox and all these UIs havent this window.

Hi,

I have looked all over the forums and I can't find an answer to why I only have 20 bag slots instead of 50.

Is there a fix for it?

Updated Inventory +test file

Here are both Updated Inventory and the Test inventory files..

The test inventory has the Quick buttons for the bags on the lower right hand side. Do note, that there is a small glitch yet that I am trying to fix. Additional commands are over riding the click options. So right click to open bags from the quick buttons. Left click will pick up the bag. IF you want to use the Test bag, just remove the "-test" from the file name and then replace the current one in your Dark Windows folder.

To use the updated standard version, just replace the current file in the Dark Windows folder.

that will work on any window, so long as you have your cursor moused over the window you want to resize.

There is a fix for the controler window in the Discussion thread.. just download that and replace the xml file itself.

I am updating the UI's tonight with the reversal to fix the controler so no one else will have to download the fix.

For windows, you can make a macro on your main hot bar in another bank (i use bank 10) and make it what ever size you like.
/uiwinscale .5 is tiny
/uiwinscale 1.5 is HUGE

find the size you like.. then put that into your macro. Then when you log in.. just switch your main hotbar to bank 10, mouse over the window you want ot make larger or smaller.. hit that number on your keypad

Review:
Make macro on main hotbar, bank 10, slot 1 (example: /uiwinscale 1.1)
  1. When you log in, switch main hotbar to bank10
  2. mouse over window you want to change to that size
  3. hit 1 on your keyboard
Simple as that.

At one time the game would save the window size, but they turned that feature off and have not enabled it again for us. I do not know exactly why since the font issue in the chat and other windows was fixed. But the above is the best we can do right now. Perhaps some day they will enable the save winscale again. Maybe some day.

window controller keeps disabling

Hi
first time post, great ui, was a long time coreui user until last update, lol i got some words and sentences on screen that couldn't delete. But back to darker 2.0, my window controller will not stay enabled when i switch toons or when I log in, also is thier an option to show my weapons i'm using? I don't seem to see it, thats an option I had with coreui. Thx again for a great ui.

Updated again.. and added back in the old Details window you all have been hollering at me about.

I also added in the new resists and such as well .. enjoy

Switching over from ManicUI

Hiya,

After 8 months of playing this game using ManicUI, I just switched to Darker 2.0 since Sarenne is actively supporting it. I'm generally happy with it, but I'm having two annoying problems:
  1. every time I use a riftway, the riftway map stays on screen after I complete the teleportation; and
  2. the default bags, the command buttons, and the lag meter button won't stay hidden. I toggle them off, save my UI using the "Backup 1" button, but every time I re-launch the client, those buttons re-enable themselves.

Please advise, and thank you for all your work on Darker 2.0!

Okay, I fixed the market window for you .. I accidently added in a test window i was working on by request into the live version. That meant DarkScrolls got the test window, and Darker2.0 ended up with the old window somehow lol...

I will post up the fix in the thread for you. Just replace the file and you will be good as gold again.

Will be updating both versions in a bit.

Thanks for letting me know about the market window... i will take a look at those and see. I do know i adjusted the windows a bit for the merchant npc.. are those okay?

As far as the healer helper.. yes, there are 12 boxes per bar. In l;ayout mode, you can click and drag the window size to display as many boxes (hotkeys) as you like. i hope that helps some?

I have to check out the rogue assembly as well tonight. So when I do that I will go ahead and check and fix the market window as well

noticed 3 things. the market window does not show stacked items properly anymore (that should show 20 aged timber), and it no longer lists all the resource types like before, also the change to the healer bar shows 1/2 of a new box. pic below.

Okay, all fixed, and updated the healer helper as well.
As far as the error goes, it was looking for an additional window that was not present. Though not related to the cursor. When it does not move, that is an error in the map xml itself, (not Sor's fault either, soe's updater). Its a bugger for sure.

However, your critical error should not appear again. Again, thank you for letting me know!
