What are some of the things you hope to see in the Vanguard Interface?

Personally, the EQ2 interface is wonderful. The Widescreen letterbox feature makes it feel more real and cinematic. ThorUI of eq2interface.com is wonderful, and I would love to see something as similiar to EQ2 and ThorUI (for EQ2) for V:SoH. It would be my perfect UI.

I haven't made any, and hope to see a tool for their creation when you all get more of this together.

I'd also like to see something like the ThorUI

I'd like to see more customization options than what's currently being offered in EQ2...
Hate being limited to container pages and subcoding (For example: I want to be able to pull groupmember data to other "custom" pages...)

Personally I hope they go the way WoW did by allowing people to write more intricate stuff than just cosmetic changes. Allowing for proper addons will definately make this place a veritable green-house of creativity.

I want to see more serious mapping in Vanguard as well. Not just the parchment-ish birdseye view of WoW maps or the vector linefrenzy of EQ1. Good mapping that you can actually use for finer navigation would be awesome.

I personally didn't care for the widescreen of EQ2 and got rid of it as soon as I figured out how. UI wise I am currently loving Profit and hope that something like that is used (and/or quickly made when the game is out )

While I sincerely hope that Vanguard will not allow as much addons as WoW did, I would love to see a little addon called TellTrack (http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.html?addid=102)
Makes chatting much more compfortable - especially if you talk to a lot of people at once.Plus you don't miss any /tells if you're AFK for some minutes.

Took the words out of my mouth with that telltrack. Not quite sure how it is going to work in VSoH but an ad-on that some of EQ UIs had was to change the XP bar or just put a % by the XP bar. Was easier for me to tell how much XP I was getting rather then" oh about a tick a kill" I could say somthing along the lines of "about 1% every 2 kills"

One of the things that I loved in EQ and miss desperately in WoW was the "view port". Similar to the "letter box" that is seen in EQ2, but it was possible to have it go all the way around the viewable area, not just across the top and bottom. I love having a full screen of game graphics, but I'd rather shrink (not crop) that viewable area somewhat, so that nothing gets hidden behind UI elements. I'm really hoping that Vanguard will have something like this available.
