Apparently, the initial beta e-mails are going/have gone out. Confirmation of this is via the large amount of posts regarding this at the official V:SoH Forum.

I stoped by gamestop today and was able to pre-order vanguardsoh for the launch in november....

is micro$oft pushing the game out way early? whats going on here? beta for a month then launch?

Hmm, that seems very odd. Sigil has repeatedly stated that beta will take as long as it takes to get the game out right the first time. Maybe the date given by Gamestop is not the actual live date, just a Live date for "pre-order" purposes, that has been done on many occasions.

I was giddy as a school gi... boy when I pre-ordered, I just hope it is for pre-ordering purposes and not because micro$oft wants it pushed out before christmas

I browsed the Vanguard site and found nothing about a Live date in early Nov, so I would say the date is only a placeholder.

Maybe you can get into beta :D

Release date
 

I checked the Gamestop site and it had listed Vanguard with a 11/1/2005 release date. Currently Gamestop shows a release date of 5/1/2006, though Microsoft Game Studios still show it as TBA. Kind of interesting to note that EBGames does not list it at all.
